Eligibility conditions


Where? Who?

MedVentures targets talents, entrepreneurs from the South Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey – can be expatriated talents based in Europe, in the US, Canada Gulf countries… ) and from the Europe 27 (eager to expand to Mediterranean countries)

What?
We select companies in their early stage of development, i.e start-ups (more or less 1 to 5  year of existence) : project shall feature an existing management team, a proven innovation, a business plan  and at least one ongoing customer. Entrepreneurial projects (i.e no company formed) are not eligible to this contest

Start-ups shall be already supported by local coaches (Investors, incubators, entrepreneurs networks..) and get a recommendation
 
 
Selection criteria

We focus on high impact business projects that demonstrate their potential to achieve significant growth, competitiveness and job creation in their home countries and at an Euro-Med level

Companies shall be innovative (new technology, service, business model, process…) and preferably target high growth markets in one of the following strategic sectors :

    • Agrifood (Nutraceutics, traceability, organic product..)
    • Information and Communication Technologies/Media (Mobile, Software/Web2.0, RFID/Security applications, Digital Content, Services…)
    • HealthCare
    • Environment & Energy (Renewable energies, Energy efficiency..)  applications for rene

Projects should have an international dimension, with a focus on the Euro-Mediterranean market . An international short term development project should be presented

A business plan shall be proposed around 4 main lines , taking in consideration the growth potential and international dimension :
-  Innovation and added value (problem solved, proposed added value, competition analysis)
-  Business Vision (market identification, existing customers
-  Team (Expertise, complementarity and international dimension)
-  Organisation (Capacity to execute and expand)

Fill in our Powerpoint template (with non confidential information); or send us their own powerpoint presentation/executive summary (in line with our proposed eligibility conditions and selection criteria)
